The Principal Partner and Managing Solicitor of Baba Dala, SAN & Co (Bahama Chambers), Baba was the Chairman, Yobe State NBA Branch in 1998 and member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom; a Certified Capital Market Solicitor of Nigeria; and a specialist in Project Finance Laws and Practice.
He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1987 and enrolled as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1988.
Baba has been in private legal practice since then and has become an expert in various areas of the law, including human right laws, banking, insurance, securities, telecoms, investments and intellectual property. He is a versatile corporate lawyer, with superlative experience in constitutional law; corporate; and commercial practices. He is a passionate promoter and advocate of good governance; has defended and prosecuted many cases towards promoting the security of civil rights, social justice and good governance which earned him Commendation of the Transparency International and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
